When you place an order on Instacart, you may be asked if you’d like to opt into sharing your information with the retailer. On that opt-in screen, we’ll tell you what information will be shared if you select Allow.
Personal information that retailers may see if you opt-in includes—
- Phone number
- Email address
- Delivery address
- Order details
Separately, starting January 1, 2023, customers in California and Virginia can opt out of sharing their personal information with third parties. Third parties can use their personal information for advertising and marketing on other websites or apps.
Customers can opt out by visiting Your Privacy Choices in the Instacart app or website.
